NEW RICHMOND RESIDENCE

     The client’s home, on a hillside high above the Ohio River, enjoys scenic views. Artistically inclined with a strong business acumen, the clients were very involved in the design process. The new outdoor space, set behind and above the home, is surrounded by prairie to provide a diverse plant palette attracting hummingbirds, butterflies and wildlife. The prairie landscape also alleviates the need to mow the steep grades.

Nestled in the prairie landscape, a tennis court, putting green and terrace are supported by grade beam construction. A gazebo, designed by the architectural firm RWA, gives a vantage point on the home and the surrounding landscape. The tennis court has served family members who’ve won national rankings and leading positions on college teams.
